| Thank you for visiting our site. There are many exciting things happening on our campus, and I hope you'll take advantage of the resources available on this site to learn more about our innovative curriculum, our intimate learning environment, and our many connections to the dynamic Charlotte community.
If you are seeking information about our academic programs, please explore the four primary units that combine to form Queens University of Charlotte.
- The College of Arts and Sciences provides daytime undergraduate education within the typical 4-year degree framework, though the education itself is anything but typical! 24 majors, a variety of interdisciplinary concentrations, and our Core Program in the Liberal Arts ensure that students are well-prepared for the challenges of life beyond college.
- Hayworth College offers evening programs leading to both Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees. Our undergraduate evening programs are designed with the adult student in mind, to avoid conflict with work and family schedules. Degree programs include Education, Organizational Communication, and several other BA degrees, plus a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Hayworth's graduate programs offer students the opportunity to earn a Masters degree in the fields mentioned above, plus a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing or post-baccalaureate teaching licensure.
- Business-minded students will find The McColl School of Business offers programs to suit their needs. Professional MBA programs provide a solid grounding in business fundamentals, without interrupting students' careers. For the more seasoned professional, Executive MBA programs address the complex challenges that senior managers face every day. McColl also offers on-site education, custom programs and seminars through the Executive Learning Institute.
- The Presbyterian School of Nursing at Queens is producing the largest number of registered nurses (RNs) in North Carolina among private, higher education institutions. One in five students at Queens are pursuing a nursing degree, making it one of the most popular majors on campus. Queens is the only University in Charlotte that offers all three degree programs to aspiring nurses, offering pre-licensure programs that lead to an associate degree or bachelor’s degree (BSN) in nursing, and post-licensure programs including the master’s degree (MSN) in nursing, the RN-to-BSN tract and the RN-to-MSN tract.
While I think you will be impressed with the quality and personal focus of education at Queens, perhaps our strongest attributes can be found in programs that complement our academics.
- Our Internship Program was recently ranked by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 in the United States.
- Our Athletics Program involves more than 30% of Queens undergraduate students.
- Our International Experience enables close to 90% of our students to study abroad, a percentage far beyond the national average.
For our alumni and friends, the Queens Web site provides many resources as well, including timely information about the many educational, cultural, and entertainment events hosted on our campus. In addition, graduates and their families can find out more about upcoming alumni events such as Reunion Weekend, Homecoming Weekend, and many other local and regional activities.
Please let us know how we can make this site more helpful to you. Our Web manager welcomes emails containing your comments and suggestions. Once again, we thank you for visiting our site... and if you haven't already, I hope you'll visit our beautiful Charlotte campus in person very soon.
Sincerely,
